Of late, we’ve all been hearing how Nevada doesn’t have money for this and Nevada doesn’t have money for that. We all have to tighten our belts and share in the sacrifice. Well, that is, unless you’re a hungry legislator.
It appears the Nevada Assembly has opted to hire a cook, at the government’s expense (with our tax dollars) to make lunches for the Assembly members. Their logic: It’s cheaper than going out. Well of course it’s cheaper than going out when you’re only contributing about $2/day for the food. We have to either pack our lunch or buy it at full retail value. That’s not the case with our legislators. They’ll be eating a lunch that should cost more than $2 but for the fact that you and I are subsidizing the cost of their meal with our tax dollars.
