This weekend we join together to honor our brave men and women in uniform.
Since our nation’s founding, many have given their lives in service to our flag and our country. On Memorial Day we pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. I join with all Nevadans and Americans in thanking the troops, veterans and military families for their service and commitment to our great country.
As we commemorate this special day, I hope to see you at one of the many events being held throughout Southern Nevada. Let us also take a moment to pray for the safe return of those still in the field.
A very Happy Memorial Day to you and to your family. Remember that we wouldn’t be the land of the free if we weren’t the home of the brave.
